mini-Thon coming to Pleasant Valley High School

“Last year HOPE students went down to PVE and the middle school to help chaperone the mini-THON, and we saw the amazing passion and commitment,” said Elizabeth Gesualdi, advisor of the mini-THON. “They asked if we can do a mini-THON here.”

Mini-THON is part of the Penn State Dance Marathon (THON), the largest student run organization in the world.

“We have a $10,000 goal between now and February, and we are trying to raise the money for Four Diamonds and Penn State Hershey Medical Center,” said Gesualdi.

Four Diamonds’ goal is to conquer childhood cancer by assisting children at the Penn State Children’s Hospitals. Four Diamonds’ was founded in 1972 by Charles and Irma Millard in honor of their son, Christopher, who lost his life from cancer.
