Golden Globes Go Black
Hollywood showed up to the 2018 Golden Globes ready to face the issues that have come to light in the past year regarding widespread incidents of abuse, harassment and discrimination throughout the entertainment industry. The 75th annual award show was dominated by the color black, worn as a call to action by the Time's Up movement, standing in solidarity with victims of sexual assault and harassment.
The highlight of the night was definitely the inspirational speech by Oprah Winfrey. During her acceptance speech for the Cecil B. Demille Award, Winfrey condemned a "culture broken by brutally powerful men" and predicted a new era of opportunity and success for women and girls across the country.

Trump: Stable, Smart
Another day, another series of weird tweets from President Trump. Responding to the controversy surrounding the release of Michael Wolff's book "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" and questions regarding his mental fitness, Trump took to Twitter.
"I went to the best colleges or college .... I was a very excellent student."
Trump insisted that he is a "very stable genius" and claimed that the speculation around his mental health were because the investigation into collusion with Russia during the presidential campaign were “proven to be a total hoax.”
“Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart,” the president said in a tweet.
