This past weekend, on December 16, East Juniata High School organized and worked Winter Wonderland. Members of the National Honor Society set up, participated in, and tore down the day of fun. Parents and their children were welcome to join in the fun for either five dollars, a gift, or anything they could provide. We decorated the gym with lights and tissue paper. There were game stations such as the snowball toss and nerf gun shooting game, a face painting station, cookie decorating, and a chance to meet Santa. We even had a bounce house! Kids of all ages seemed to have a lot of fun and enjoyed the snacks and fun stations!
Our game consisted of a goal, six cones, and a soccer ball. The kids were to kick the ball and knock over all six cones with unlimited attempts. The game was so fun for them that many came back to play a second or third round. Near the end of the day, kids wanted to play a mini game of soccer and go one on one with a partner, so it got very interesting with some kids kicking the ball as hard as they could against the wall. Overall, it was a very fun and eventful day.
