“Spider-Man: Homecoming” is a movie in the Marvel franchise, set after the previous installment “Captain America: Civil War.” The movie features actor Tom Holland as Spider-Man. Some felt Spider-Man wasn’t portrayed correctly in previous Spider-Man movies. However, Holland brings a youthful approach to the film, reminding viewers he is only 15 years old. This movie has both comedy and action. I found myself laughing within the first ten minutes! It’s not hard to fall in love with this version of Peter Parker.
Even if you are not a fan of superheroes or other Marvel movies, this still could be a film for you. While the past Spider-Man movies focus on external conflicts (with a little bit of a complicated love story), “Spider-Man: Homecoming” brings a conflict that has not been explored in previous Spider-Man movies, Peter wanting to be more than a friendly Spider-Man. In this movie, we also see a less-glorified version of Spider-Man. Instead, we see one who makes mistakes, who fumbles, and takes a hit now and then. Overall, I would recommend this movie to anybody who enjoys comedy, action, or even just movies about teens.
