What is Giving Tuesday?

Taking place on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Giving Tuesday marks an international day of giving and is a response to the consumerism brought about by Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Started by the 92nd Street Y in New York and the United Nations Foundation in 2012, #GIVINGTUESDAY has raised millions of dollars in donations for various charities and organizations with the amount growing each year. An estimated total of $117 million was raised just last year alone, so don't forget to give back this holiday season and learn more at givingtuesday.org.
