It was the night of August 3rd of last year where I had gotten the best birthday surprise ever. In the midst of trying to catch some sleep for my special day, my father knocked on my door to wake me up. After he had brought my twin sister and I into his bedroom, he had been holding up two tickets in front of our faces. When I caught a closer glimpse at the Beyonce tickets, my screams of joy had woken up the rest of the relatives in my house.
2 months later, the whole family is getting ready for the exciting night ahead in each of our rooms. Then after what was a 2 hour drive to the Met-Life Stadium, the opening acts such as DJ Khaled, A Boogie With Da Hoodie, Ja Rule, and countless others alone had the crowd ecstatic. An hour finally passed, and the Texas superstar pridefully greets the crowd with her song "Bow Down".
My voice was breaking from all of the screaming that I was doing, my legs were tired from standing on my feet the entire time, and my arms grew weary after being up for the duration of the concert, but because of the presence of one of my biggest icons, I didn't care one bit.
"Never have I seen a crowd so hype in a concert in my life." said, my father while watching the crowd go erratic for Beyonce.
The overall experience of the Beyonce concert overjoyed me. Seeing the Formation Tour lead performer in person for the first time gave me an unbelieveable feeling.
.After the star closes her show with "Halo" , the crowd proceeds to the parking lot whereas everyone tries to beat the "after-concert traffic". The entire ride home consisted of positive feedback on the performances, while I was reminicising the moments in the concert that will forever be stored in my memory.
"Best present ever, Dad. Thank you so much." I, gratefully said to my father.
