7 Important Quotes to Get through Each the Day.

As a high school student who is an ambivert, my school  and social life can be demanding and difficult.  When I reach the point where I just feel unmotivated, stressed, or just ceding to my workload, I always look at 7 quotes that I keep on my phone. I review these quotes every morning on my way to school or just into a difficult social setting to help me keep calm and collected throughout the exhausting day ahead.

  1. The Golden Rule

  2. The Golden Rule: “Treat others the way you would like to be treated”. This rule is the best advice I follow for any situation that requires ethics. I use this to understand why or what someone does and how to treat others based on how I would want to be treated.

  1. The Quote for Any Feeling Related to Embarrassment.

  2. I call this quote : “Those…..Moments”. The ellipsis is for anything you feel in an embarrassing moment or when you are thinking about something embarrassing that happened--like five years ago. When this happens, my advice is to “Look back at them, cringe, laugh, pathetically cry and share.” By remembering what you did, you are accepting the past and realizing that you cannot change it. By cringing and laughing at the memory or occasion, you are realizing that the memory is just something stupid that happened in the past. And lastly, if all else fails, you just need to cry or share this memory with close friends to see if anything like this has ever happened to them, and they will most likely understand.

  1. The Quote About Material Obsession

  2. This one is simple: “It is just an object which can be replaced...unless it is your cellphone... that is a different story... but it can still be replaced.”  This is exactly How I saved this quote in my phone. I believe enough is said here.

  1. The quote on quitting.

  2. There are many quotes that inspire people not to quit something. Winston Churchill said “If you’re going through hell, keep going.” When I just feel like giving up on anything that is difficult, I just remind myself that this is not hell, and if it is, you have to get to the end.

  1. “You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to Surf.”

  2. When things happen in your life without your control or you having some type of hand in what happens, instead of looking for pity or sulking around, one should take some time to figure out what is the reaction to the situation. You can’t always control what happens, but you can try to make it better.

  1. “If one was truly wise, insightful and mature, they would never want a person to Collapse internally.”

  2. Don’t treat others badly on purpose. If you do, you do not have mature qualities in your character to be justified for anything you did. I discovered this piece of advice on a YouTube video from the Channel “The School of Life” (Link to the video in the source).

  1. Constructive Criticism of One’s Character.

  2. “A distinct openness to constructive criticism is key to our self-development. But we should aim for a confident distinction between the hater and the critic.” This quote came from the same YouTube Video as stated  in the sixth quote. This quote reminds me that it is okay to be flawed.  If someone points out flaws about your character, you should know the difference--Are they are trying to hurt you or trying to make you a better person?
