Do you like drawing, painting, and pottery? Do you just want a chill place to hang out with friends? Then art club is the place for you! Art club is on Thursdays, after-school, in Mr. Berretta’s room. Creativity flows in this room non-stop. You are exposed to many mediums such as acrylic painting, watercolors, charcoal, pottery, ink and so much more. If you are not so good at art or just a beginner, that’s completely fine. The art community here at Newfield High School is welcoming and kind. Mr.Berretta and experienced artists would love to help you grow in the arts. Say you’re busy one Thursday and can’t make it, no problem! Art club is always welcoming new members, and perfect attendance is not required.
If you are in 10th grade or higher and already took an art class, you are eligible to join Newfield’s Art Honor Society. Art Honor Society is an inspiring experience and will help you grow in your journey as an artist. During the year, Art Honor Society helps out with trick or treat street, holiday lane, and other fundraisers. Also, it takes part in fulfilling field trips every year. Last year the Art Honor Society went to the Parish Museum in the Hamptons and the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. Joining this fantastic club is a life-changing experience that you won’t regret. Contact Ms. Kern or Mr. Berretta if you have any concerns -- we can’t wait to see you there!
