During the summer from late June to early August, members of the EJHS Tiger Marching Band started attending practices. These practices included memorizing music for parades, and learning music and routines for our field shows we do at every football game. During this time the members of the band have to learn how to properly march, and stay in formation for a parade block. We usually march in rows of three, and we learn to memorize the music for parades, usually four songs. Field shows are different however.
During the football season, the band attends all of EJ’s games. We play in the stands, and provide pep music for all to enjoy. Either at half time or pre-game we perform on the feild. This is called our feild show. We march in different directions while playing all sorts of music. This year we have a rotating music schedule, this meanings that every two weeks we change the two middle song of our performance. We always start with Eye of the Tiger, and end with Championship.
Friday, the 27th was the last EJ Fooball Game. The band played their hearts out and we all love playing in the stands. We had our last feild show, which went amazing. This was very emotional for everyone, many of the band members have been doing this for many years, and I am sure they will all miss it. This was a very amazing year,we may get upset or frustrated somtimes, but we have worked very hard. Thank you Mr. Milliken for an amazing year!
