The Middle Country Girls Varsity Tennis Team, coached by Mike Steinberg, is comprised of girls from both Centereach and Newfield High School. This season the tennis team placed second in the league and held a 7-3 record! The girls on the team put in extra effort to achieve the best season possible, despite the short one-school-month season, proving to the student body that tennis is competitive and sport worth following. Tennis is not only a game about physical abilities but also mental stamina as a Tennis player must maintain a positive attitude during their match in order to succeed. Tennis technically may be an individual sport, however, this does not change how close all the girls are! It is safe to say that the friendships made on the team are ones that will last forever.
