The end of summer has been a calamitous time for natural disasters with hurricanes causing havoc across Texas, Louisiana, much of the Caribbean and Hurricane Irma seems likely to add Florida to the list. What's been left out of the national media coverage is the fact that wildfires have engulfed many western states including Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. These fires threaten homes, businesses, national parks and cause millions of dollars of destruction in their wake.
