High School FFA

What do you think about FFA??

The FFA officers have a lot to say about their great program. All of them had excellent responses to the set of questions that were asked. Each one of the officers absolutely live and breathe FFA. Bridget Kennedy was one of the officers. Here’s what she had to say about FFA. “I think that FFA is really cool because of what all it has to offer. There is so much more than just raising animals and living on a farm. There are all kinds of leadership and public speaking opportunities. I started FFA my sophomore year. I was taking animal science and was still kind of one the fence weather I wanted to actually join FFA, but once I realized all of the opportunities there were in FFA I was sure it was something I wanted to do. Before taking an Ag class I was like many people and didn't really realize what all FFA had to offer. I think that FFA is a good program for everyone so I would definitely encourage people to join. FFA and Ag classes have something to offer for everyone. We go to a lot of field trips and I know that everyone likes to get out of school so even if you think there is nothing else there's always that. We also go to a lot of conferences where you get the opportunity to meet new people and develop yourself as a leader. There are all kinds of career development events (CDE)  that you can participate in. There are several animal judging contests, public speaking contests, leadership contests, veterinary sciences, forestry, and many other CDEs.” Bridget is currently the reporter for the Grand Canyon chapter of FFA. She has been on the horse judging team for the past two years. Bridget is also in the chair of several committees for FFA.
