Welcome Back!

On the first day of school the staff of Wellsboro Area High School stood outside in front of the high school and welcomed all the students in. I  interviewed some of the staff and students to see what they may have thought about the whole thing. Mrs. Davis, the CP Biology teacher said “Oh, I loved it! I thought the welcome was a great idea!” Mrs. Berndtson, the Ag Science teacher said “I thought it was a great tradition to start because then all of the students can see how excited we are to get back into the school year!” As I asked the students they didn’t seem to have much to say. Whitney Delong expressed that “It was cool”. Alexis Meyer said “It was different”. The last student I talked to was Deana Fillmore she said “I thought it was pretty nice, it showed our school spirit. It made me feel special.” I asked some administrators from the main office. Mrs. Bradly said “I thought it was awesome, I just wish that I didn’t have to be In here answering phones so I could have been out there too.” Mr. Rendos said, “I thought it was awesome! It was perfect because everyone enters the school at the same place, so we got to see everyone’s smiling faces.” This may be a start to a wonderful tradition according to both the staff and the students!
