End of the year stressing you out?
With the warm weather arriving, it can be difficult to focus in school, let alone on homework. Here are three ways you can de-stress that will help you get through the school year!
1. Take a bike ride.
It is so important to make time for yourself. Doing this allows you to take a breath and take care of your body and your mind. Grab your bicycle, plug in some headphones and go for a ride around your neighborhood, or in a park! Soak in all the sights of nature. Getting some physical exercise into your routine will strengthen your body as well!
2. Have a movie night with friends.
Friday nights are for FUN! However, this doesn't necessarily mean you have to go out. Invite a few friends over, make it a potluck and have each of your friends bring a snack or dish to share. All you need are some blankets and a good movie. Doing this is a good way to have fun with friends without exhausting yourself with a night out. It will also give you something to look forward to all week, minus the stress of having to spend money or figure out rides.
3. Run a hot bath.
This seems so simple, but taking a hot bath can really relax your muscles and the steam is good for your respiratory system. It is also alone time, so it provides a period of time to sit and plan any assignments or responsibilities that are coming up in the near future. Taking time out of the day to be quiet and think helps get all your thoughts in order. You'll find yourself becoming more organized and less stressed!
Ultimately, the second semester of any grade in school is challenging. Be sure to make time for yourself and not procrastinate, and you'll be on your way to summer!
