Every year Juniata hosts May Day, which is typically held on the first Friday of May. May Day is a talent show put on by students and headed by Mrs. Storey. The acts included dancing and singing. Ellie Shepps and Holly Hostler sang “Holy Spirit”. Madison Rheam and Tori Foltz did a lyrical dance to “Life of the Party”. Some other singing acts included Jessica Hackenberry singing “Human”, Jensen Abram singing “Feeling Good”, Carli Walters singing “Supermarket Flowers” and “Nothing but the Blood". Malala Laub sang “Blessed Be Your Name” while a phenomenal video played. Some of the dancing acts included Maddie Walters dancing to “Rock Bottom”, Becky Ratvasky’s lyrical dance to “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”, and Laine Guiser dancing to “You Love Me Anyways”.
At the conclusion of May Day, the attendants that have been selected by their classes were announced. They came on stage to witness the crowning of the May Day Queen. This year's Freshman attendant was Jayla Burdge, escorted by Peyton Harris. The Sophomore attendant was Laney Dowling, escorted by Chase Lehman. The Junior attendant was Karrigan Zeiders, escorted by Colton Jones. The Senior representatives were composed of six couples. Josie Rice, escorted by Noah Burns; Jordan Abram, escorted by Bailey Hackenberry; Kiersten Clark, escorted by Zack Snyder; Shelbi Dowling, escorted by Tyler Bryner; Lilly Brown, escorted by Isaiah Wagner; Maddie Walters, escorted by Chase Goodwin.
Usually the May Day Queen from the previous year comes back to crown the new queen, but last year's winner, Emily Clark, could not attend due to prior college commitments. Congratulations to this year's May Day queen Jordan Abram. A special thanks goes out to Mrs. Storey, who has donated countless hours to make the show possible.
