Abortion: a Fatal Danger

Life is a precious gift; one that is precious for the mere fact that it can only be embraced once. It is quite unfortunate how all are not granted the chance to live even before they take their first breath. The precious beings who are put in a pitiful condition as such are aborted fetuses. These young babies are deprived of life at a very early stage of growth and their mutilation and death is made possible by the process of abortion.
Definitively, abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy. It is usually performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy (0-7 months). Abortion may be seen as the sole expulsion of a human fetus, but in my terms, it is the deleterious homicide of an unborn child. I believe that abortion is a murderous act and it should not exist. It should not exist because it results in the death of many precious unborn babies, violates the Declaration of Independence and is very unsafe.
Abortion is murder, specifically a fetus homicide. Murder is the deprivation of one's life and the process of abortion comes into contact with this. During abortion, a fetus is removed from the womb by the dismantling and destruction of it limbs, body parts and skull. Although the baby is unborn, its life actually begins at the moment of its conception. Therefore, in technical terms the baby is alive but abortion takes its life away and paints it as an acceptable rightful act of privacy and convenience by the justification of personal rights. This isn't right. Murder should not be done for mere convenience or privacy. It is not just a matter of expediency but rather a precious life that is being put at stake. In addition to its unreasonableness, abortion is also unlawful.
The act of abortion is unlawful for the fact that it violates the Declaration of Independence. In the Declaration of Independence, it is stated that " all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness..". This statement, being also mentioned in the preamble of our constitution, affirms that everyone has the natural right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. As mentioned before, life begins at conception, hence unborn babies have a fundamental right to life.The act of abortion is therefore unlawful since it violates the unalienable right of life due to unborn children by exterminating them. Besides its unlawful aspect, abortion is also very unsafe.
Abortion is indeed extremely unsafe and is a process of jeopardy. Its consequences are detrimental and deleterious to the mother. After abortion, the mother can face serious medical problems. These problematic medical conditions include high risks for infection and cancer, fertility issues and even death. Furthermore, it has been found that abortion can also augment risks for breast cancer. A study published in the Cancer Causes and Control found that abortion is "significantly associated with an increased risk of breast cancer" and also found that "the risk of breast cancer increases as the number of abortions increase". Abortion is deadly. A tremendous amount of women have lost their lives due to abortion. In 2009, the Centers for Disease Control reported that over 400 women have died from legal abortions since 1973. Despite its fatal aspect, some think that abortion is still acceptable for certain reasons.
A counterclaim or reason that one may have against the wrongfulness of abortion is the fact that everyone has their own rights, and therefore, a women has her right to decide what she wants to do with her own body. Yes, everyone is entitled to natural rights however it is wrong to justify an unlawful act with the law. Yes, a women has a right to decide what she wants to do with her body but I don’t think anyone would want to make a decision that would jeopardize their health.
Abortion is dangerous; it is a risk itself . Another counterclaim is the fact that some abortions are due to the prevention of the probable birth of a child with down syndrome. All lives matter and every child deserves to have a chance to live regardless of their circumstances. Even if the choice of caring for a child with a certain abnormality is not preferred or if the parent may not be able to take on the full responsibility of childcare due to personal issues, I think that these unborn children should rather be given for adoption. Aborting babies is like choosing who gets to live and who doesn’t by the judgement of their probable outcome and the parent's situation. It's unfair and it's a wrong thing to do.
Abortion is a fatal procedure and its costs are not highly unsafe. Through this jeopardizing act, the lives of many unborn children are taken away and those of many women are put at risk. Children are the essence of our future and the source of longevity for our generations. By eliminating them under unreasonable means, we are killing the beauty of our future and inhibiting the light of our tomorrow. We should put a stop to it before it gets out of hand.
