We're not sure that everyone got the memo about having to come in your best “Avant-Garde” creation to this year's Met Costume Gala and we don't really mind. The annual fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute honored the work of Rei Kawakubo, founder and designer of Comme de Garcon.

Some celebs brought it (Katy Perry, Zendaya, Rhianna) and some relied on showing as much skin as possible -- we are talking to you, Kendall Jenner!!! Some stars just couldn't get on board with covering the fabulous bodies that have been starved and sculpted to perfection and we understand. Either way, the red carpet had something for everyone. We can't wait until next year!
