Ms. Haubert introduced model rocketry into the Computer Aided Drafting and Design class as a tool to incorporate science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) into a fun and challenging activity. It gives her the opportunity to move out of the classroom and teach students real-world learning experiences. Students are required to design the rockets in AutoDesk Inventor and then construct the parts in a 3D printer.
This year's group of rockets were considered successful as no one caught the roof on fire and only one got stuck in a tree!
