Long Beach High School junior Jovanna Vicente and sophomore Charles Mandell received awards in the Photographic Federation of Long Island Youth Showcase competition.  Jovanna won 1st place in two categories; Photojournalism and the People category.  Charles won 3rd place in the Photojournalism category.  They accepted their awards during a ceremony held on April 2 in Westbury. 

All students who entered this competition will now advance to the Photographic Society of America, an international contest.
