This edition features the dreamy electro-pop of The Parkers, an NYC-based trio led by sisters Anya and Kate Parker-Lentz. Raised in a highly musical household, Anya, 20, and Kate, 16, were both early members of the New Jersey Youth Chorus who gradually transitioned into writing and performing their own music. The sisters met their drummer, Henry Kane, through their fathers, who attended Lehigh University together. While working on their debut album, Henry and Anya currently study physics student at NYU. In addition to playing keys for the Parkers, Kate is a member of Millburn High School’s independent a cappella group Soulfege, who recently performed at the Democratic National Convention. Among their diverse musical influences, the band lists Sky Ferreira, Led Zeppelin, Flume and Fleetwood Mac.
