The weather in Pennsylvania is absolutely insane. These past few months the weather has been so unpredictable weathermen and women are probably losing their jobs left and right. In the beginning of winter, it did not feel like Pennsylvania had turned into the tundra it usually is that time of year. The saying “in like a lion, but out like a lamb” describes how this winter season happened. After the stretch of warm weather that our winter was providing for is, it grew bitterly cold. To go from not wearing a coat to completely covering any patch of bare skin with multiple layers was certainly a shock to everyone. We were more used to this weather though, so at least our winter finally felt normal. That was, until the weather took on a wild streak. There would be snow on the ground one day and then it would be 60 degrees the next. Personally I felt like screaming “WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO US MOTHER NATURE?!” The weather never ceased to surprise all of us and send most teenage girls into a spiral of confusion of what they should wear to not be too hot or too cold. To the teenagers, we enjoyed the warm days where we could go outside instead of being trapped in our houses because of the fear we had for going outside which we considered to be the Alaskan Frontier. Then there was Stella. Stella the biggest storm my generation. We had never gotten two consecutive days off of school in my entire lifetime of being at Wellsboro. Those two school days gave me the time I needed to catch up on homework and I was very thankful to Mother Nature for that one.
