A poem by Robert Fidler
Tonight the moon stalker undoes the shackles of his prison.
He stalks the moonlit streets his teeth course with venom.
Beware the baring teeth that long to spill out blood.
For if ye seeks the midnight streets your life shall soon be done.
The howling hound screams through the quiet streets.
The flash of dark red eyes haunt your every step.
You hear it’s ragged breath right behind your head.
You turn your head for a quick look and see a sight that blinds the eye.
It’s shaggy hair hangs off it’s ragged body.
The beasts bloodshot eyes pierce your very soul.
It’s very heart as dark as coal.
Run, run and lock the wooden doors.
Stay, stay and keep inside, and yourself alive.
You watch your back constantly, and don’t stay out past five.
You tell others of your sight and they say that it is lies.
You tell your closest friends but even they can’t believe.
But I do and you should stay away.
For I am the beast, and you should be very afraid.
