Overview: East Juniata National Honor Society is a group of juniors and seniors committed to academics and being a positive influence in our community. Each member is held to high standard in their school work and devote their time to helping better their school and community. NHS does two blood drives each year allowing capable students to donate blood and save a life. We are also holding a Spring fest this year inviting young children to participate in games and crafts. Any donations given to NHS from spring fest are then donated to Juniata County Salvation Army where they will used to benefit families in the area. National Honor Society members are required to obtain 10 in school service hours and 20 out of school service hours. Many members participate in tutoring other East Juniata students or contibuting their time to already existing organizations like The Juniata County Food Pantry to reach their service hour goals. NHS works to recognize dedicated students who have demonstrated excellence in areas of scholarship, leadership, character, and service.
