She's just a girl, trying to make it in the world.

She's always worried about what she was told.

She was always told three things that would only tear her down.

"You're stupid." "You don't deserve love." "You're not worth it."

One day, she got tired of the simple put downs.

She was going to pull it off,

she thought she was...

 she knew she was.

 She knew she was smart.

She knew she was loved.

Those were quickly and easily proved to her.

She just wasn't sure about the last part.

Was she worth it?

Of course she was!

She went through everything to figure it out, but she was.

She has been working to prove them wrong since then.

In the fifth grade, she tested for gifted,

 In the eighth grade, she tested she went to a high school.

She is going to and always will succeed in everything she does.

 But in the end, 

 She became vocal.

 She was smart, loved, and worth everything.

because she was more than whom she thought.     

 She's way more than just a girl, trying to make it in the world.

 She's me.
