At least when they are first being created by the new 3D printer. Students at SJR were given a snowflake template created by Dremel which allowed them to design their own snowflakes, including adding a text message or an image directly on the snowflake itself. Many students used the St Joe's green knight logo while others added state championship messages to their snowflakes. Even the international students in ESL took a turn creating and printing; ironically real snow began to fall (the cold type) when the students were working on this project, for some of them from southern China it was the very first time they saw snow.
All snowflakes adorned the Media Center Christmas tree. One student in grade 10 even created a star for the top of the tree!
