As the co-founder of legendary rock band Nirvana, singer/songwriter Kurt Cobain (Born: February 20, 1967- Died: April 5, 1994) became the face of the early 90’s musical and cultural movement known as Grunge. During an era when big-budget pop acts like Michael Jackson ruled the Billboard charts, Nirvana’s unique style of melodic garage rock took them from playing underground rock clubs to headlining the world’s largest music festivals in less than three years.
