As the culinary students usually do each year, they had about a whole month to make a gingerbread house. They do these in spirit of the holiday season! They don't have a certain criteria they use to judge the gingerbread houses, but they do have a set of required things they have to do with the project. They need a 12 inch sheet of baking paper to set them on, and to make their gingerbread from scratch. Junior Tanner Runyan says, “I like it.” Senior Jenn Bush says, “It’s a fun traditional project we do, and I tend to really like it.”
The culinary students did a great job on this year’s Gingerbread Houses and we had a tie for first place! Congratulations to Hannah Davenport on her Log Home and Whitney DeLong’s Food Truck. The second place went to Mickel Shabloski’s Country Cottage. The third place went to Max Johnson’s Travel Trailer. Junior Bri Ryan says, “It’s very difficult, but a fun time to make them with everyone else.”
