Why is Finland #1 in education? According to Scholastic.com:

"Finland has been garnering a lot of acclaim for its students’ scores on the most recent Programme for International Student Assessment test. Finland’s 15-year-olds topped the science tests given two years ago, besting students from 56 other countries, from Argentina to Uruguay. Combined with its high scores on the most recent reading and math tests, this gives Finland teens the top ranking in the world."

Some say the Finland way is simply a "Less is more" approach to education. Whatever it is, it seems to be working.
