Being successful isn’t something that you can just pick up right away. You have to get in the habit of being responsible, setting goals, having priorities, and thinking win-win. Saying you want to be successful is one thing but actually doing it takes patience and time. You want to have a good influence on people. This requires you to be kind and truthful. Being creative can help you with things too. In this day and age it can be hard to figure out that your behavior has consequences. Even if you are a good influence on people you have to pick good friends. Making friends is easy if you participate, get involved and help out your community.
When people try to get you down about things don’t let them! If they tell you that you can’t do something, remind yourself that you can! Have faith and take some time for yourself to regroup if all else fails. Remember the little things in life can make a difference. Just think when you put brakes in and you don’t push it all the way those few centimeter can be all the matter between life or death. Think of yourself as the foot that pushes the brakes, if you don’t have faith and if you don’t persevere, then you won’t be successful. Remember the four R’s in life and it WILL get you far!
Take R isks
Don’t be R esentful
Don’t be R esistant
Don’t bring R evenge
Success is just a metaphor for have you made a difference… So get out there and make a difference!!!
I ask a few people about what was their most successful moment and here’s what they said:
Izaiah Luce- “I flipped a bottle of water.”
Tessa Heck: “I got out of bed this morning!”
“It makes me feel pretty good about myself!”
Frank Kewitt: “I built props for the school play.”
Jenna Parsons: “I overcame my grandfather’s death.”
Robbie Tardieu: “I dunked a basketball at Parker Park for the first time”
For some people success can even come in the common everyday things! Keep your head up kid and “Reach for the Sky!”- Toy Story
