On Sunday, February 7, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with them being the first team to play in the Super Bowl on their own field and defeated Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs with the final score of 31-9. The Super Bowl MVP quarterback Tom Brady combined with 21-29 with 3 TD’s and 201 total yards. Tight End Rob Gronkowski had 6 receptions with 67 yds and 2 TD’s. The Buccaneers are the 2nd team to win a championship for the city of Tampa Bay, Florida(NHL-Lightning won Stanley Cup 4-2) following a Tampa Bay Rays World Series loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the MLB. With the Chiefs looking for their 2nd straight Super Bowl win(won Super Bowl LIV 31-20 vs 49ers), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will start the 2021 season as the new defending champions.
