The Newfield chapter of the National Honor Society had a delightful fundraising event to generate money for senior scholarships. The National Honor Society, for the month of December, began selling “Candy Stuffed Stocking Grams” outside of Cafe A on B days.  The stockings full of candy cost $5 and came with a candy cane and an opportunity for the purchaser to write a special heartfelt note to the recipient. If the purchaser chose, the stocking could be delivered to the person as long as they were in the school. This was an extra $1. There was also the opportunity, for another dollar, to have any name written on the stocking. This fundraiser was a success and many stockings were sold. Whatever stockings were left over were donated to children in need in our community for the holidays!
