It was Halloween night, 2020

I was in a hurry, so I had to scurry

I came to a house, and there it sat

A huge and quite dark black cat

There was a lady in a witch hat

And a bowl of candy

right where she sat

She asked me to come inside for a treat

And that's when I felt something scurry past my feet

It was her cat, and there it stared 

In front of a black doorway

Like I even cared

I walked in

And knew that I'd come out

She gave me a sign

That I would truly have a great time

A day that I won't forget

And that moment 

I had a feeling of regret

She dismissed me

With her note and all

And that's when I walked through the black doorway

When I came out, I shouted HOORAY!

But something wasn't right

Oh dear me, I was stuck in a tree

I then realized what had become of me

The lady turned me into a bat

That is where I truly sat

So if you see a lady like that

Just know that it is a trap
